CHRP/CHRL/CHRE Planning

You’ve completed your MIR and still have a drive for further professional development, so what kind of avenues available to you? One of them is attaining a designation. For those both HR and LR professionals, the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) is the professional regulatory body and professional association with over 20,00 members in 28 chapters across Ontario.

It connects members with an unmatched range of HR information resources, events, professional development and networking opportunities and annually hosts Canada’s largest HR conference. In Ontario, HRPA issues three levels of professional certification: the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation for practitioners entering the profession and working in administrative capacities; the Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL), for practitioners working in fully professional capacities; and the Certified Human Resources Executive (CHRE), for senior executives [1].

There are many benefits for pursuing a designation from the HRPA, including enhanced credibility, career progression, making a contribution, enhancing skills and capabilities, and gaining access to resources such as information services and member savings.
